Imp Creature – XGen & Character Modeling

This is a 3D interpretation of a concept by the talented Labros Panousis, created as a personal project to improve my skills in character modeling and grooming. It’s also my first time using XGen or attempting any kind of hair grooming and although it was a big challenge, I really enjoyed the entire process.
The main goal was to capture the stylized energy and personality of the original design while learning to sculpt appealing shapes and experiment with hair directionality, clumping, and volume.
The original concept was created by Labros Panousis, who was kind enough to let me use his design. His art is full of character and charm, and I really admire the way he plays with form and exaggeration. As he describes it, this imp creature was “inspired by Cuphead’s devil character design”.
